The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified all affiliated schools to complete their self-assessment for the year 2025 on the SQAAF (School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework) portal by December 31, 2025. This directive is in accordance with Circular No. 14/2023, dated March 24, 2023, available on the CBSE SARAS portal, and a notification issued on December 30, 2024, accessible on the CBSE Academic website.

Schools undertaking the self-assessment process must note the following guidelines:

  • The Self-Improvement Plan must be filled only after the submission of the self-assessment covering all domains.

  • The Self-Improvement Plan is to be submitted domain-wise.

  • No changes or edits will be allowed after the final submission.

  • Schools may download their report upon final submission.

  • The portal will provide only the overall scorecard for the year 2024.

As per Circular No. 14/2023, self-assessment under SQAAF has been made mandatory for the acceptance of applications related to fresh affiliation, switch-over, upgradation, and extension on the SARAS portal for the academic session 2024-25 and beyond.
